Small Animal Dentistry

As a part of our ‘Complete, Compassionate Care' approach, Grace Animal Hospital and Pet Lodge offers dentistry services for your pet. While there is no better replacement for daily brushing of your cat or dog’s teeth, we can show you other techniques such as dental rinses, enzymatic chews, and OraVet-a weekly anti-plaque home sealant application for those hard-to-handle pets.

Complete oral examination and dental cleaning are performed under general anesthesia. As with surgical procedures, your pets vital signs will be closely followed with our state-of-the-art multi-parameter monitors. We are also proud to be one of the few practices in South Carolina that controls breathing with a anesthetic ventilator.

Our fully equipped dental suite includes ultra-sonic equipment for teeth cleaning, digital x-ray for below-the-gum exams, and high-speed fiber optic hand pieces for advanced dental work. After teeth cleaning and other procedures, we apply OraVet as a sealant to help prevent further plaque build-up. Our staff will teach you how to apply OraVet at home weekly and other techniques to help you maximize your pet’s oral health.
